Margaret Freel, 91, of Lime Springs, Iowa passed away at her home on Monday, December 21, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Chester, Iowa. Friends may call two hours prior to services at the church. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco is handling the arrangements.

Yes Virginia, Santa has snow for Christmas
Everyone seems to have survived the first big snow storm of the winter. Predictions of large amounts of snow and blowing winds scared most folks off the roads on December 9, which is surprising because usually the roads are full of sight-see-ers.
