Need volunteers for boards

Starting January 1, 2012 each government board needs to be gender balanced—meaning two men and three women or vice-versa. Sometimes it is hard to have a gender neutral board—especially in a small town with a small pool of volunteers from which to choose.

The City Council of Lime Springs is taking applications for vacancies on appointed boards and committees; they include Park & Pool, Library, Community Center and Fire Board. Applications can be found at City Hall or the Lime Springs Library. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

These are uncompensated positions. All applications are subject to the open records laws of the State of Iowa. Contact City Hall 563-566-4405 for more information.
