Meet the teacher: Mrs. Marr

Mrs. Shari Marr

Now that everyone has settled down and found their routine for the school year, it is a good time to find out who those new faces at Lime Springs-Chester Elementary are. In the next few weeks, readers will be introduced to the new faculty.

This week, Mrs. Shari Marr drew the short stick. Marr drives every morning from New Hampton where she lives with her husband, Scott, and children, Natalie and Landon.

She received her B.A. and Masters in Education from Graceland University. She decided on education because, “I enjoy teaching students as they learn the skills that will be the foundation of learning.” Since she is teaching the preschool children, it is great that she takes the time and effort necessary to start them on that path of learning.

This is Marr’s 13th year in education. “I have worked with elementary students, including three years at Elma Elementary. I have also worked with infants and toddlers and their families.”

She has enjoyed getting to know the families and staff at LS-C and her goal is to meet even more families and community members.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading (Most teachers do.) and golfing.
