Mensink benefit a success!

Randy Assmus and auctioneer Dick Schwade kept the crowd entertained and pocketbooks greased up as they got big dollars for Beth Mensink at the benefit’s live auction. A silent auction was also held that did well.

An estimated 300 spaghetti dinners were eaten at the benefit for Beth Mensink on November 19. Folks started arriving at 11:00 a.m. and kept up a steady stream over the noon hour and into the afternoon as friends and family attended in support of Mensink, who was diagnosed witih Stage III Grade III Inflammatory Breast Cancer in April. On October 24, she had a bilateral mastectomy and will continue to undergo treatments.

So far, over $15,000 has been raised, much of that from Saturday’s free-will dinner, live auction and silent auction. If you weren’t able to attend, you can donate online at http://www.giveforward .com/bethmensinkcodepink or mail it to PO Box 117, LeRoy, MN 55951 c/o Janssen.
