Christmas in Chester

Christmas in Chester has always been a special celebration for the small town. This year, many local businesses will be having open houses to help everyone gear up for the holiday season. Plan to attend the celebration this Saturday, Dec. 8.

The day of fun starts at 9:00 when the craft show opens at the Community Center.

There will be around 35 booths. Look for many of your favorite vendors and gift items, including Graced Furnishings, Pampered Chef, multiple craft vendors, LS/Chester PATT, handmade candles, Bling Slinger, Lund Horseshoeing- Belts/purses, Premier Jewelry, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Lia Sophia, Avon, Purses at Your Door, Furniture Redo, carmels/jelly, baked goods and cosmetics.

It was such a hit last year, the committee decided to again have scalloped potatoes and ham with corn, coleslaw, roll, desserts and beverages. It is being served from 11:00-1:00. The craft show continues until 2:00, when the town drawing is being held, also at the Community Center.

Something special Partners in Progress does for the kids is letting them decorate Christmas cookies for FREE. Supplies will be available for kids 13 and under. It takes place from 11:00-1:00 when parents can shop without nosy little ones watching and asking, “Who’s that for?” Kids will get some cookies to decorate and take home.

. . . Or maybe they want to give them to Santa, who will be arriving at the Community Center at noon. Kids and adults can sit on Santa’s lap and ask for their favorite gift.

This fun day of Christmas celebration is sponsored by Partners in Progress and area businesses. Come to Chester and join everyone in a fun holiday tradition.
