Neighborhood Night Out

Taking a cue from National Night Out (a crime awareness program), Chester Partners In Progress (PIP) is having a Neighborhood Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Chester City Park.

It is a neighborhood get-together, and let’s face it, everyone in a small town is a neighbor! So everyone is invited to the potluck, live music and games. Cray Insurance, which is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary of being in business, will provide hot dogs and brats for everyone.

Picnickers should bring a dish to pass, personal beverages, plates, silverware and napkins. There will be yard games for young and old, and the Chester Fire Department will provide a fire truck for kids . . . and adults, to explore.

Folks don’t “neighbor” like they used to. Life is busy for everyone, but this is a way to build and expand on friendships. Meet and greet your neighbors on Aug. 6 in Chester!
