The weekend was nearly perfect weather for Lime Springs’ 32nd annual Sweet Corn Days celebration. Weather reports showed a clear weekend . . . up until Thursday when the forecast changed to rain on Sunday. Then it was 100 percent rain all day on Sunday.

Was it going to rain on our parade? Nope. Again, the main event was saved as the sprinkles slowed down around 11:30 a.m.

It was clear all the way through until about 3:00 when a few drops chased some away. The torrential downpour waited until 5:00, right after the raffle winners were named.

Here is some general information and results about many of the events during Lime Springs Sweet Corn Days, Aug. 9-11.
