Sundae in the Park

In this busy world of go, go, go, why not take a break from the hustle and bustle of life and just sit and enjoy an afternoon? In the tradition of National Night Out (a time of getting together with neighbors), Sundae in the Park will be taking place Sunday, Sept. 8 from 3-5 at Brown Park.

Anyone and everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy some music (including a little bit of everything) and ice cream sundaes.

Although the event is being sponsored by St. Paul Lutheran Church E.L.C.A., it is not a churchy gathering. It is just our Lutheran neighbors inviting friends out to relax after a busy summer of Old Settlers, Howard County Fair, Sweet Corn Days, the start of school and all the other happenings over the past few months.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of E.L.C.A. (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America), St. Paul’s has made a commitment to do service projects in the community. Sunday in the Park is their kick-off event.

Free music, free sundaes. What’s not to love? Go ahead and take advantage of it.
