Voters go to polls Tuesday for school board election

On Tuesday (Sept. 10), local voters in Howard-Winneshiek Community School District will go to the polls to vote for two school board representatives.

The positions up for election this year are District 1, currently held by Karlos McClure, and District 4, currently held by Duane Bodermann. Both are running unopposed. (Everyone in the H-W district is able to vote for both positions.)

Everyone will also be asked to vote on Public Measure Z for the Tax Levy Extension Proposition for Northeast Iowa Community College.

Lime Springs Community Center, Elma Memorial Hall and Howard County Expo Building in Cresco are the voting centers and will be open from noon until 8 p.m. for the election.

Everyone in the school district is encouraged to vote on the measures appearing on this year’s school election ballots.
