Still time to run for council

Folks around town have been wondering what the city of Lime Springs is going to do without a full ballot for mayor and council. There have been a few people who expressed interest in running to City Clerk Carla Moser, but did not turn in their applications.

There are two residents on the ballot for three seats on council (incumbent Kevin Bill and new-comer Jimmy Miller) and none for mayor. Anyone can still be elected by write-in.

The Lime Springs Herald will be printing the answers to some questions posed to candidates in the Oct. 24 issue of the paper. Anyone who is interested in running should contact editor Marcie Klomp by Oct. 17 to be included.
