Fall Festival went well —PIP now looks at Christmas

Chester Partners In Progress was pleased with the turnout for its Fall Festival on Oct. 12. The group ran out of pumpkins for the kids to decorate.

Amanda Keller said the Community Center was full of vendors, and she had to turn some away because there were no more tables.

• The next big event is Christmas in Chester, which will be held Dec. 14, which is the second Saturday of the month. The meal will be meatballs with mashed potatoes and green beans. There will again be cookie decorating and Santa.

• Another comedy show will be held March 1. The event was a great fund-raiser last year with lots of interest.

• The shelter in Chester was held up because the old foundation of the school needed to be dug up before work could continue.

• Adopt-A-Highway sign should be installed. If not, it will be installed soon.

The next meeting will be Nov. 19 at 6:30 at Chester City Hall.
