Sending good wishes Madison’s direction

--Madison 1 CMYKAnyone who has spent time in the hospital, as a patient or just a visitor, knows how lonely and boring it can be. Imagine how 14-year-old Madison Rahlf feels since she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 10, 2013. She has been in and out of the hospital since then and just spent another week there last week.

Her neighbor and friend, Heidi Trouten, decided to make a Facebook page for Madison so people can give her encouragement and caring thoughts. Look her up at “Messages for Madison.”

Trouten wrote on her own page to get the word out: “Since she feels isolated much of the time, I decided a group of people sending well wishes, support and words of encouragement might be just what the doctor ordered. Thanks everyone. Hopefully we can make her down-time a little more tolerable.”

For those more interested in a tangible get-well wish, you can snail mail her at: 315 N. Miller, Lime Springs, IA, 52155.
