Who is running for City Council?

Last week, the Herald featured those who are on the ballot or who are running as write-in candidates. This week, two more Lime Springs residents have stepped up and iare running as write-in candidates. Tary Kolek and Brian Jesson join write-ins Russ Theis and Scott Tienter, along with Kevin Bill and Jim Miller, who are on the ballot. Only three council will be elected. A mayor is also needed for Lime Springs.

For write-ins, it would be best if voters knew how to spell the names, but Auditor Julie Chapman said it was up to those counting the ballots. If they understand the intent, even if the name is not spelled correctly, the vote will count.
