Twenty youth have been giving up weekday afternoons and evenings and Sunday mornings to practice for the Children’s Theatre Troupe’s play “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

The talented group of kids will be performing the children’s classic on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m. and Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. The play is again being held at Lime Springs United Methodist Church.

The play is based on the children’s novel by American author L. Frank Baum. It was published in 1900. The book was turned into a musical in 1902 and a movie in 1939.

Tickets will be $6.00 at the door.

Directors are Rita Roberts and Janet DeVries, with Jessica DeVries as accompaniment.
