Arnold Kimball, 86, California

--obit-kimballArnold (Bud) Kimball, age 86 of Nuevo, Calif. died on Feb. 27, 2014. Bud was born on Feb. 16, 1928 and grew up in Maine, leaving home to join the Army Aircorp where he served in WWII. Upon returning from the war, he began hauling freight cross country.

Bud met and married Geralda Murphy on Aug. 5, 1950. After living in Lime Springs, Iowa and Winter Haven, Fla,, they settled in Rochester, Minn., where they began their family, raising two children, Robert and Sandra. They moved to Costa Mesa, Calif. in 1980, where Bud and his son Bob started Kimball Equipment, sales and repair of heavy equipment.

After retiring they moved to the Circle K Ranch in Nuevo, where they raised Clydesdales. Bud was a man of details, well-known to everyone for his ability to restore any piece of machinery back to its original condition.

Descendants of Bud and Gerry are son, Robert Kimball of Huntington Beach, Calif., and daughter, Sandra Abrams of Greenville, N.Y. They were blessed with four grandchildren, Drew Abrams and Sally, Bobbi and Adam Kimball. He was the brother-in-law of Ray Murphy of Lime Springs and Marlene Reicks of New Hampton.
