Federal government on lookout for local man

Michael D. Strain is being sought on a federal weapons charge.

Sheriff Mike Miner confirmed reports the federal government is looking for Michael D. Strain on weapons charges.

Strain lived in Chester for a while and then moved to Elma. Miner said, “He was in this area for a while; since then, he’s gone. We think he is still in the neighborhood.”

The Howard County Sheriff’s Department is keeping an eye out for the fugitive, but is not going to any extra effort.
